Following the successful conclusion of the most prestigious international wine competitions of 2026, Plantaže wines have been awarded a total of 32 international medals. Of these, 22 medals were earned at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London, the Balkans International Wine Competition (BIWC), and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB), in addition to the 10 medals previously won at the renowned Mundus Vini competition in Germany.

BALKANS INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION (BIWC)

CONCOURS MONDIAL DE BRUXELLES (CMB)

These internationally renowned wine competitions bring together some of the world’s most distinguished wine professionals, including Masters of Wine, sommeliers, wine journalists, and expert judges. Wines are assessed through blind tastings, with no information provided about the producer or country of origin, making the medals among the most objective and credible indicators of quality on the global wine stage.

A particularly outstanding achievement this year was recorded by Stari Podrum Cuvée Terroir 2020, which won three Gold Medals at prestigious international competitions. This remarkable accomplishment confirms the wine’s exceptional consistency in quality and places it among the region’s most successful wine labels in 2026.

Among the award-winning wines are some of Plantaže’s most acclaimed red wines, including Vranac Reserve 2018, Premijer 2017, Vladika 2022, Stari Podrum Vranac 2018, Vranac Barrique 2021, and Vranac Pro Corde 2022, all of which received outstanding scores from international judging panels.

Equally encouraging is the strong performance of the company’s white and sparkling wines. Val Brut 2022, Pro Anima Pinot Blanc 2025, Žižak 2025, Malvazija 2025, and Regina 2025 were all awarded medals, demonstrating that Plantaže today offers a strong and competitive portfolio across every wine category—from premium red wines to fresh white and sparkling wines that meet evolving consumer preferences and international market trends.

The total of 32 international medals is a powerful recognition of the expertise and dedication invested both in the vineyards and in the winery. At the same time, it highlights Montenegro’s growing reputation as an emerging wine-producing country. This success is made even more significant by the fact that the highest honours were awarded to wines produced from Vranac, Montenegro’s flagship indigenous grape variety, whose outstanding quality continues to earn international recognition and strengthen the global reputation of Montenegrin winemaking.

The achievements of 2026 once again confirm Plantaže’s position as the regional leader in wine production and one of the most important ambassadors of Montenegro’s agriculture, winemaking tradition, and national identity on the international market.
