Grapevine Grafts

Plantaže grapevine grafts are adapted to local conditions for establishing new vineyards or renewing old vineyard plantations at Ćemovsko Polje.

Plantaže is proud of its long tradition in the production of grapevine grafts, especially of indigenous varieties such as Vranac, Kratošija and Krstač.

Graft production began in 2000 with the establishment of a modern mother plantation with 2,856 vine rootstocks per hectare. Planting was completed in 2006, covering an area of 40 hectares. Over time, we expanded the assortment to include international varieties required for new plantations.

Production takes place under strict control, with careful selection, advanced cultivation techniques and quality monitoring at every stage.

Today, our mother plantation produces between 500,000 and 700,000 cuttings each year, from which 350,000 to 500,000 first-class grapevine grafts are produced. To date, we have produced more than 6.5 million grafts, primarily for our own plantations.

Assortment:

  • Wine varieties: Vranac, Kratošija, Merlot, Krstač, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Malvasia, Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Table grape varieties: Cardinal, Ribier, Muscat Italia, Victoria, Afus Ali

Rootstocks represented: Chasselas 41B, Kober 5BB, Ruggeri R140, SO4, Paulsen 1103, Richter R110, Teleki 5C.

These rootstocks are characterised by their ability to adapt well to heavy soils and produce a high-quality, although smaller, yield.
