Dark red wine with purple hues.Typical, varietal nose with pleasantly developed bouquet of dried red fruit and licorice. The flavours of mature sour cherry and raspberry are present in it. The notes of a noble barrique give it a character and the structure while the moutfeel and fruity flavours make this wine exquisite. This wine is abundant with sunshine and soil. As such, it has been classified as a grand, mature and powerful wine.

Dry wine, dark mature cherry with a purple reflection. It is specific for its intense flavours of prunes, cherries and licorice, well balanced with spicy notes, giving it a class and complexity. Full-bodied, soft and sweet tannins with long lasting, fruity finish, supported by delicate notes of vanilla and roasted coffee. Great wine of a very harmonious taste.

SERVING

Temperature: 18-20oC.

Glass: large glass with wide bowl

We recommend decanting and aeration for 15-20 minutes,before consumption in order to enjoy opulent wine flavours completely.

MATCHING WITH FOOD

It goes perfectly with hams and all red meat dishes, game meat and noble sea fish. It matches well with the spicy dishes, red meat and grilled meat. We recommend it to all lovers of red wines because this wine represents a real wine and gastronomic pleasure for all our senses.

HARVEST

The best harvest in last twenty years was in 2011. Extremely favourable temperatures and precipitations on the rocky soil of Ćemovsko polje made it possible for Vranac to show all its power and strength and justify why this variety has been classified as a variety for making a grand wine.And this wine is like that. Powerful, strong wine with a character, imparted by a marvellous terroir, that harmony ruling over Ćemovsko polje. The harvest that has given the best wines for this Vranac is a special selection.

Location: Ćemovsko polje, microlocality Šipcanik

Soil: high skeletal soil; alcaline reaction with great quantity of total carbonates

Growing type: unilateral cordon , 8 buds per vine, one shoot one bunch of grapes
