New regional and world wine contests have brought numerous, remarkable awards to the Company.
The seventh BIWC (Balkans International Wine Competition)has been held in Sofia recently and the results of Decanter World Wine Awards for 2018 have been announced.
It was at the BIWC in Sofia that Plantaže won the most important recognition –Grand Trophy for the best red wine, won by Vranac Premijer (2009), proving once again the power and significance of the autochtonous Montenegrin grape variety Vranac. Decanter 2018 of this year has awarded many prizes to the company Plantaže for the following, important medals: Vranac Reserve 2011-silver, Malvasia 2016- bronze medal, Vranac 2015-bronze, Epoha 2012-bronze, Premijer 2009-bronze, Pro Anima Pinot Blanc 2016-bronze, Vladika 2013-bronze and Pro Corde 2013- Commendation.
It is very important to mention that numerous wine labels both from the Balkans (BIWC) and whole world (Decanter) were presented at the mentioned contests and both contests had highly qualified international jury, consisted of:oenologists, sommeliers, wine jounalists, wine makers, wine experts and restaurateurs.
As for the medals and recognitions, the record of Plantaže holds 2017, when 32 medals were won at the world wine expos, out of which the most brilliant are the historic gold from Decanter in London. The company celebrates Jubilee, 55th anniversary with the new, big success and success with new wines, like premium blend Epoha 2012.Upon the gold of this year that Epoha 2012 won at the wine expo Mundus Vini, held in German Neustadt, gold quality was proved by a great number of special reserves and red premium wines, such as: Vranac Reserve 2011, Premijer 2009, Vladika 2013 and Epoha 2012 as well as Montenegrin Malvasia 2016 at the wine expo Vino Ljubljana 2018, now the new awards come from BIWC and Decanter.
Great awards, won at all of these contests have showed that Montenegro, led by our company, clearly prove that it is one of the leading wine destinations from the region and worldwide.
