It was on a sunny day, on the 18 th of April, that the company arranged a tourist-business meeting with a part of the most important representatives of the tourist industry –representatives of the tourist agencies of Montenegro and tourist organisations of the towns from the Adriatic Coast. The presence of the representatives of the National Tourist Organisation: director Željka Radak Kukavičić, director of the Tourist organisation of Podgorica, Tatjana Popović and director of the Association of the Tourist Agencies of Montenegro Orhan Hodžić made this important event more remarkable.
The visit to the company started from the oldest wine cellar-Lješkopolje, established in 1963, where the story began about the strongest Montenegrin brand and wines, loved by millions of people all around the world. A short review on the old vats and machines for grape processing and then, getting acquainted with the new type of work of the new,top winery, located in the heart of Stari podrum, intrigued all present. Most guests did not have an occasion to visit this treasure before, so the first sight at it made them delighted and incited the ideas for interesting, future day trips for tourists, by which the tourist offer of the company and Podgorica-our wine capital, would be more diverse and complete.
After having sips of the wines Luča and Vladika, the guests set off to the vineyard in Ćemovsko polje. The drive through the greatest, green oasis in a single complex in Europe, a view to the unique canyon of the river Cijevna, beauty of the stones of Ćemovsko polje and abundance of sunshine, heating it, impressed all of the guests. It was at the famous sight- seeing spot of the company, that the hosts proposed a toast, with the glass of the brandy, in the very centre of the vineyard, to green space, autochtonous grape varieties Krstač and Vranac, conditions of Ćemovsko polje and Mediterranean climate , a perfect combination for making great wines and brandies of the company. In the words of those who have brought tourists for years to visit the company, something new and fascinating is always revealed, so the guests in the wine cellar Šipčanik, tasting extraordinary wines Šipčanik Krstač and Šipčanik Vranac, experienced again the unique wine cellar ambiance and designed new programs of visits, business meetings and celebration ceremonies in the heart of the wine temple, located at 30 m underground.
The gathering ended in the restaurant Jezero, on the shore of Lake Skadar ,in one of the most beautiful national parks in this part of Europe. The guests enjoyed at the terrace of the restaurant in matching wine and food, carefully designed and presented by the expert sommelier of the company. On this ocassion,two new wines of the company sparkling Montenegrin Val Rose and premium blend Epoha, recently have been promoted as the Jubileum wine- 55th anniversary of Plantaže, to great guests. Abundance of positive energy, sips of premium wines, perfect bites of food, sounds of the light music in the unique ambiance made the end of the gathering magnificent.
The representatives of the Montenegrin media covered this gathering and their great interest for the programs of visits, our new wines, numerous planned activities and important recognitions was over expected, confirming once again that the synergy of the most important tourist industrialists and competent state institutions with the appealing story by media represents the winning combination for the promotion of not our brand only, but generally, of the country of Montenegro- of the country of great wines.
This gathering, together with numerous business-educational meetings, organised by the company, represents a step ahead towards boosting the tourist offer of our country and raising the level of the wine culture and awareness that we have to represent our country primarily as the wine-tourist destination-as the country of Montenegrin Vranac which holds in itself a special hallmark of the unique area, located between the sea and mountain.
