It was at the 68th International Wine Competition Wine Ljubljana 2018, held in the capital of Slovenia, that the company won new, important recognitions.Excellent quality of the premium and ultra-premium wines has also been recognized at this renowned contest, so we added six new gold and three silver medals.
On this occasion the glamour from Decanter ultra-premium wine Stari Podrum Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, has been confirmed with even 88,60 points which delighted us, although we have expected it. It is on this occasion that a great part of the labels of the special reserves and red premium wines confirmed gold quality, such as: Vranac Reserve 2011, Premijer 2009, Vladika 2013 and Epoha 2012. It is from now on,that the pride and satisfaction, with the new success of recently promoted label Epoha, have increased for a new, remarkable recognition. It is very significant that the curiosity of this contest, with which the company has been particularly satisfied, is the fact that it is only Montenegrin Malvasia 2016,among all of the wines, made of the variety Malvasia, particularly characteristic for the viticultural areas of Croatia and Slovenia, that won a gold medal. A great effort and work of the company at making premium white wines have been recognized on this occasion and it is clearly shown that the vineyard in the Ćemovsko polje has exquisite microlocalities for growing the white wine grape varieties,as well, of which we make superb, white wines,by a precise technology. The evaluation of our wines at this contest has been completed with the silver medals with which the wines Pro Anima Pinot Blanc 2016, Vranac pro Corde 2013 and Montenegrin Vranac 2015 were awarded. It is also worth mentioning that Plantaže won the second place, out of all applied wineries, by the total number of gold medals.
After the previous year, when Plantaže won record 32 medals at the world wine contests, out of which the historical gold from Decanter in London shines most brightly, the company continues the 55th anniversary with new, great success. After the gold medal, won by Epoha 2012, at the wine contest Mundus Vini, held in German Neustadt, we have added now a handful of medals from the wine contest, having a long tradition.
At the 68th wine contest Wine Ljubljana 2018, the wine labels have been presented, from all over the world. Highly qualified, international jury, consisted of:enologists, sommeliers, wine journalists, wine makers, professional wine salesmen, wine experts and restaurateurs, had a challenging job to evaluate all of the wines and select the best one.
Montenegro, led by our company, accomplished great success at this event, too, showing that it is one of the leading wine countries of the region and outside of it.
